The Balconette or Demi Bra..

Balconette Bra history:

These are a classically styled bra designed in 1938 but it wasn’t until the 1950’s did the balconette bra really step out onto the mainstream fashion stage. They have other names such as the Demo Bra or the Shelf Bra.

These types of bras offer little support to the breast and generally aren’t recommended for the larger cleavage for this reason, but due to the design they are perfect for wearing under low cut tops and dresses, as the bra cannot be seen.

Design and use:

The Balconette bra is a semi or half cup bra, with its straps set wide apart and a horizontal line to the cups. The design is very square like, which coupled with the semi cup gives amazing potential for the more revealing fashion tops and dresses. The Semi cup can be padded giving extra lift, but even un padded the bra offers great lift due to the design and layout of the cups.

Breast Enhancement:

The downside is that the semi cup offers little or no support to the cleavage, they are great as a breast enhancement bra as they can work stunningly well, for those cleavage revealing outfits you own, perfect!
